    Trim Tabs vs hydrofoil fins on 10' inflatable with 8hp Nissan?

    I've got a 10' Bombard (Zodiac) Typhoon 305 with the wood floor and inflatable keel. Just curious if there is any reason to install trim tabs or hydrofoil fins on this thing. She planes up just fine with my 8hp Nissan. Does 23mph in flat water with just me in it.

    3.3HP Mercury Outboard, convert to remote external tank possible??

    I have a 2001 Mercury 3.3hp on my dinghy. Would like to convert it to an external remote tank. After looking thru schematics of various Merc outboards, it looks possible, but isn't the internal gas tank gravity fed vs a fuel pump?? Any suggestions? Or is this impossible?
