HELP! I bought a used 1974 25 hp Johnson recently. The motor seems to slip out of gear however the prop continues to spin. I have removed the lower unit and checked the following:
clutch dog - good
gears - good
linkage-good
Purchased a new prop nut
replaced shifter lock
