My Tohatsu 9.8 2009 4st (with abt 50hrs) started to make strange noise.
After a few moments when under load ( sometimes 3-4 secs, sometimes after a minute or so) makes really loud high pitch noise, sounds like whining tranny to me.
Increasing revs increases the noise level and pitch...
