    Bearing buddy fell apart

    While pumping grease (gently) into my hub, when I went to pull the gun away from the fitting, the entire outer fitting pulled out of the bearing buddy. It seems to consist only of a spring, the blue thingy that extends a bit as you add grease, and a spring. Any advise on how these parts go...

    Difference between Tell Tail and what I have - '74 Evinrude 9.9

    My 9.9 has not tell tail stream, but there is always a weak stream of water that exits the port that is just below the motor cover. This spritz has always been my clue that water is being pumped to cool the engine. Is there any difference (or advantage) to the tell tail setup? Caruso
