    My Son just bought his 1st boat. 150 Black Max

    Hi folks, my son just bought his 1st boat and he fires it up and there is no sign of water coming out the telltale. (with ear muffs and submerged in a tub of water) He thinks it needs a water pump and housing. What would be the right way to approach this problem. thank you Tony

    while out on the lake checking my spark problem, I had the motor turned completly to the right so that I could reach the spark plugs while the engine was running at idle, I then turned the motor completly to the left (port)so that I could check a terminal block on the other side and the rpms...

    pulling wire off #3 plug

    force 150 starts well, idles smoothly with water muffs pumping water, but rpms stay the same when you pull plug wire off #3 plug. Compression is good in all cylinders. plug looks as wet as the others. coil is sending spark. I'm puzzled. Your thoughts...

    Force 150 jerks

    I figured out that Cyl #3 is missing. Differant type plug, (flat fire) fires more often but still misses. Compression good, all around 145 Not sure how to check power pack? Or is it fuel related. I'm also wondering about 3 carb adjustment. What are you thoughts? Thank You
