    Nissan controller with unused wires question

    I have a Nissan 30NSF A with a controller that has 4 open ended wires coming out of it. They are black, red, light green, and white. Are they to be used for gauges or a tachometer? I am wanting to install a generic brand tach.

    Newbie Question

    Just purchased my first boat with an outboard. It is a Crestliner Angler 14SC with a Nissan 30HP with tilt/trim. The boat does not have any gauges. Took it out and at WOT it wouldn't go much more than 9.5 MPH as per my GPS. Played a little with trim but not much changed since I'm new to it too...
