    dumb hp ?

    Can someone enlighten me as to horsepower ratings? If engine A is rated 50hp at the crank and engine B is rated 50hp at the prop shaft, which engine is the more powerful pushing a boat?

    Source for prop seals

    Thanks in advance for puttin me on a good oil seal supplier for discontinued seals. I can send in specifications to suit, or attempt to send a not yet destroyed sample. I am having propblems with two QD Johnons that really need propshaft seals.

    Compression.

    Does anone have the factory compression numbers for a #15120 '53 15hp fastwin 'rude. A '57 QD-18 Johnson 10hp. and a Johnny 9.5. All bores look good with no scuffing, scratches, gouges, etc. My gauge is new and I get readings of 60-62/3 psi on ALL the cylinders from each motor. Either I have...
