    Button covers for snap in carpets?

    Does anyone make button covers with a round top for when you dont have the carpet in the boat you can snap them in place to cover the button? they are not too comfortable to have your bare feet on.

    depth gauge not working

    What are some ways i can diag the depth sounder gauge in my 2000 sea ray 230?.Its a factory installed gauge and im assuming the transdocer is inside the bilge area cuz there is nothing on the transom. The gauge wont even come on in the water. i checked it has power to it though.?????

    New boat today need some info

    Just picked up a 2000 searay 230 select with 7.4l efi engine and bravo 3 outdrive. The problem is the serial number cant be read on the top engine cover....where else would i find the engine serial number? I want to change all the fluids,filters,sea water pump,serpentine belt,spark plugs etc...

    Merc outdrive gear oil?

    I have 1 silver bottle of "quicksilver high performance" gear oil and I have 2 black bottles of mercruiser "high performance gear oil + " are these 2 gear oils the same? Can i mix them? Want to change out the gear oil in a bravo 3 drive. thanks :eek:

    trim limit switch not working!

    just replaced trim and sender switches...trim gauge works and reads when sterndrive is raised...but i can raise it all the way with the up trim button the limit switch is not stopping it....when i move the limit switch the rams do not move at all...also the trailer button on the quick silver...

    replacing trim switches today...

    well so far so good i did not have to remove the stearn drive nor the gimble ring i was able to access the 1 retaining bolt with a 1/4 ext and 7/16 wobbly..bolt came right out...now the hard part one of the trim limit screws is being a biatch to get out...have sprayed it with penetrant,apply...

    anyone switched to electric choke?

    i am thinking of switching out the stove type choke i have on my mercruiser for the electric conversion i have seen for sale. I dont think the stove mounted one on the intake manifold works anymore or works very little. has anyone done this conversion?

    thermostat removal help 5.7l gm engine

    i have a 91 5.7l gm engine and went to change the thermostat because it still had the original one in it but i cant seem to get the sleeve above the thermostat out!!?? is there a trick? special tool? witch doctor dance? i have to do to get the sleeve out? by the way the sleeve looks to be brass...

    Need a new bilge blower ?

    i have a 1991 5.7 350 v8 i pumped out the engine oil and changed the engine oil filter where do i add the new engine oil ?? thru the pcv vent hole on the valve cover????
