    Question about replacing the rectifier on my motor

    I have a 1993 48 HP Evinrude. I'm replacing the rectifier. Here is the old rectifier that I am replacing. And here is the new one. It is a Sierra. I can figure out that the red wire goes where the red wire of the old one went. But the yellow wires aren't placed in the new one...

    I have a question about different brands of replacement electrical parts

    I see for my Evinrude motor that CDI, Sierra, Arco, and Mallory makes replacement parts. Is any one brand significantly better than others? Or do they all work about as good and last as long as the next brand?
