    Ring stuck?

    I have a 9.9 evinrude 1976 and I think the ring is stuck on the top piston cause i'm not getting anycompression. I believe this is my problem and was wondering what i can do to get the ring unstuck and if anyone thinks it may be something else causeing it to lose compression?

    1978 evinrude fell in lake and won't run

    I have a 1978 9.9 hp evinrude and about three weeks ago it fell in the lake and i've been letting it dry out and it doesnt run. I thought it was the power pack cause i was getting only one plug to fire so i bought a new one, now both are fireing but the engines stops abruptly and spins backwards...
