    Hello. Engine is a 1989 mercruiser 3.0 alpha one. Alternator is not charging. Checked + and- at back of the alternator with a dvom and have 12.6 while running. Has battery voltage at the red/purple wire. With the key on, I am only getting 10.2 at the purple wire. I am leaning towards a bad...

    3.0 merc. wont start when hot

    Hi, new boat owner here that needs help. 1989 3.0L mercruiser, alpha 1. Starts up cold right away, runs great for about 20-30 minutes, stalls and will not start. If I let it sit for about 45 mins. it will start and run very well untill it stalls or is shut off. Left me stranded 4 times now...
