    Suzuki DT8 needs carb spray in vent hole to start

    1997 DT8 needs a blast of carb spray in top vent of carb 90% time. Will run for an hour or sometimes 10 mins, then die, then a blast of spray is needed to start again.

    1997 DT8 has gas leaking from top carb vent every couple minutes or so when running. I heard bad float adjustment can cause this. Can I get to float w/o removing carb? There are two brass screws at top of carb and one on the bottom do they have anything to do with this ?

    1969 6hp hot start woes

    Fuel Mix

    Ran my 69 6hp on 24:1 that I use on my 60 5.5hp, was told it was fine. Now motor seems to run good for half hr then shut down. Then start up again. Coils are new and tested, so was hoping its just a hot start prob with condensers. Could the fuel mix mess things up?

    1960/1969 fuel mix

    Can i run my 1969 6hp on the 24:1 that I use on my 1960 5.5? My 5.5 is my primary if it goes down I'd hate to keep a separate fuel tank of 50:1 on hand.

    OK next question. What two settings should my ohms meter be set at for testing primary and secondary windings? Saw Doug Penn's vidoe on utube , he confused the heck out of me with the settings. Does it matter if coils still hooked up to points and condensers?
