Been trying to locate a powerhead gasket kit. for my 2.0 L Merc V6.
My ser # is 5904326 which I believe to be a late 81. The Sierra # is 18-4315 for an 81 and 18-4317 for an 82.
The 18-4315 seems to be no longer available.For the most part can there be that much difference from one to the other...

I have a 73 1500 that I'm not totally sure I want to use yet and I've come across a couple of other motors that I'm looking at and could use some opinions.
I realize that the 140 is basically a 1500 but with no distributor.I know that the 140 is in good shape.
