    Gimbal Ring Play

    1999 5.0 L Merc with an Alpha 1 Gen 2 lower end with relatively low hours. How much play between the bell housing and the gimbal ring is considered too much. I have a bit more sideways play then up and down - maybe a 1/4".

    Any body use in line silencers either the ones that slide in the exhaust hose or ones that clamp between two pieces of hose. I have a 4" through Hull exhaust that I am tired of on a 5.0L stock Merc. Wondering how affective they are at reducing noise and how much power loss I could expect.

    Hummingbird Depth Finder Problems

    I have a HDR 600 Hummingbird Depth Finder. It reads fine in deeper water but when I get to 5 - 6 feet or less it reads 1.2 - 1.4 feet constantly. Any ideas what it could be? All other functions work well. I have the manual and it is of no real help.
