    Lost RPM

    Friend lost 800rpm from WOT recently. No change to prop or weight of boat. Engine idels and runs strong all thru rpm range except 800 lower now. Any suggestions on what to look for to correct. 2001 Yamaha 200hp SW. If he can't do a simple fix will have to bring back to dealer, long road trip.

    I have a 200hp OX66 saltwater series Yamaha on a 22' deep V. Total weight of outfit wet is 3700lbs. The prop (has a M16 stamped on it) size that is on it currently is unknown.     I'll be getting a 2001 Yamaha 200hp next week. Is it OK to use synthetic 2-cycle oil for break in, or should I stay with the yamaha brand.
