    As my waterpump job grows bigger I am trying to remove the 'back to back' seals just above the water pump. I did get the outer seal off using more violence than I like. Please tell me the correct way to remove these seals because I have more to do in the future.

    83 OMC Stringer 3.0 ball gear replacement

    Is it ok to replace ball gears without new seals (if seals are not currently leaking)? Can I replace ball gears without separating outdrive from upper housing?
