    mercruiser 140 reinstalling pistons question

    Putting together my mercruiser 140 i/o after about 7 years. Could use some help regarding reinstalling pistons. Do the cylinder numbers which are stamped on the connecting rod caps face to the right or left when installed in the engine? Thanks for any help you can give. Dan

    Chronic overheat 1990 150 XP Evinrude

    My 1990 150 XP Evinrude has been giving me a fit for 3 yrs. After about 3 minutes at 3/4 throttle it overheats. I have taken heads off, cleaned the water passages, taken the exhaust cover off, cleaned the passages, replaced the impeller and pump housing, replaced thermostats and bypass valves...
