    fuel sending unit replaced

I just got a new fuel sending unit to replace a bad one. Before taking out the old one, I took the wires and hooked them up to the new sender. When moving the float arm, the max reading I get is about half a tank...works great from zero to 1/2. I tested it with a meter and it worked the whole...

    Bug bomb in the boat

I have a bug infestation in my boat, especially noticeable when I keep it in the slip. Is it ok to use the store-bought bug bombs under the cover? Any problems with the interior or residual effects for kids? Thanks for any advice.

    New fuel sending unit/old guage

I need to replace my fuel sending unit, but am curious if I will have problems calibrating it to the old guage. Is it just replace it and go, or is there some rocket science involved in the cal? Thanks

    Hour meter problem

    Can't find hour meter

Is it not standard for an i/o to have an hour meter on it? I may be losing my mind, but the first time I looked at the boat I recently bought, I swear the guy showed me the hour meter. I noted the hours as what was advertised and evidently brain-dumped where that d@mn meter is. Is it possible...

Strong winds + a tight slip and I ended up with about a quarter size ding in my gelcoat. I live in a smaller town and cannot find anyone who will work on fiberglass. Talked to a big city repair guy who said I could fix it myself using a color-matched Spectrum Colors patch and paste kit...

tire is not the same size

I just had one of four trailer tires replaced. The original tires were F78-14ST, and the tire company replaced the bad one with a Carlisle 205 75D14 (this new tire says on the side of it "replaces F78-14ST"). When I put the new tire up against one of the old ones, the new one is noticeably...

    wet or dry storage pros/cons

I have the oportunity to store my boat in a wet slip for about the same $ I can garage it. I plan on using the boat quite a bit this summer, so am leaning towards the wet slip. What negatives area associated with wet storage for 8 mos out of the year? Thanks in advance.
