    Boat Motor Power

    I am looking at a boating package that features a 16' aluminum boat with a 50hp two stroke engine, Mercury 50ELPTO. The boat's hull weight is 995 lbs. The boat is going to be used just for fishing. My question, is this motor powerful enough for a boat this size or should I be looking at a 60hp.

    Mariner 60hp - Asking Opinion

    Hi. I am looking at purchasing a 1996 Starcraft 17' boat with a 1996 Mariner 60hp motor. I was just wondering if anyone has heard any good or negative reports about this motor that I might need to be aware of. I would appreciate any input. Thanks
