    F80 lower unit leak behind prop

    Have a slow leak behind the prop on the lower unit. Guessing the seal may be leaking. Do not have a pressure tester. Am wondering if anyone has had success with any of the "stop leak" products sealing older seals? Something like Bardahl 3119 Gear Oil Additive Plus Stop, or Bar's Leaks 1040 Grey...

    BF130 Tach

    Had the boat in the shop for a new impeller. Tach was not working asked them to check it. Said I need a new one. Do I need a tachometer from Honda or can I use an aftermarket tach like Faria or Teleflex? Motor is 2001, efi without ecm. Thxs

    Trailer overloaded?

    Does this photo look funny to anyone besides me? Bought a boat and trailer last fall and the PO mentioned it had a heavy duty axle. Was thinking about adding a second axle, after cleaning up all the rusty stuff. 19ft fiberglass boat well over 3k lbs when loaded. Thxs

    Water in fuel 1988 Merc 80

    Looks like some bad (watered down) gas made it's way into my tank. Obviously no fuel water separator or this conversation wouldn't be happening. Pulled the main tank, drained/cleaned it. The question is can the water already in the carbs be removed somehow? Dropping the bowl and dumping it...

    88 Merc 80hp, tilt ram cylinder (pin) removal?
