How do you test your altinator? I had a dead battery today and the battery needed replacement. However, I am also worried that the altinator may be bad (just parinoid) and wanted to test it before going out again? I have an outboard: 2004 Mercury XR6 150.
I had a dead battery today and could not get a direct replacement at the local store. The motor is a Mercury 2004 XR6 150. Where can I find the range of amps that the starter motor (and altinator can handle)? The closest battery to the old one is:
- 625 marine cranking amps (32 deg F)
