I have a 78 25 hp johnson that jumps out of forward gear if the engine gets over idle speed. It starts chattering and the shift cable starts jumping. If I hold pressure on the shift arm at the motor, it will go a little faster than idle but still jumps out. I have tightened the shift cable to...
I have a 1980 35hp that ran hot. I have replaced the water pump and also the head gasket. Now that everything is back together, the motor will hardly spin over. Its like there is a compression lock. The starter has been rebuilt and Im on the second battery. What should I do?
