Replaced my transom,stringers and deck.ready to install carpet.Should I paint deck before I install carpet,or can I glue it directly to resin without paint??
I'm getting ready to paint my newly restored fiberglass boat,the boat will be trailered.Just wondering if anyone has used this paint and how it holds up.Was planning to spray,using pettit spraying thinner.also should I use Easypoxy undercoater before painting?
I'd like to thank all the people on here for the info on my rebuild.I did a complete rebuild to my MFG Gypsy star and had no idea what I was getting into when I started.I would never have been able to do it without the info I got from these forms.will post pics soon.Thanks !!!!!
Getting ready to install cap back on hull,going to epoxy to transom,just wondering what to use to bond cap to hull around perimeter of rub rail.some people tell me silicone so it can be removed in the future if need be,any advice?
reading alot here that older boats were made of poly,just wondering if anyone knows what was used to bond plywood to transom and cap to transome,boat is a 1980 mfg.did they thickened epoxy then or a thickened poly back then??
