    Mercury Clutch Dog...

    1963 Mercury 85Hp Outboard... can someone please send me some pics of the propeller shaft / clutch dog assembly? My outboard has no neutral and I think the clutch dog is worn. I need to remove this without breaking it :D ... Please e-mail me at: debeerz@eagleottawa.com Thanks Guys.

    No Neutral

    :mad: My mercury has no reverse, it goes from forward to reverse with no positive neutral. I have to tension the selector between the two to get it in neutral. Any sugestions.

    Merc Head-Gasket

    I have a late 60s Mercury 100Hp... I think the head gasket is blown. There is fuel leaking at some places when the motor is run. I can also see small bubbles at some places. The engine also has trouble idling! Could this be the source? Final question... Is it necesary to remove the powerhead...
