    I have a 77 johnson 25hp it run fine wide open but when it is coming up to speed like when u gap it open it will skip a little not a lot but not like its cutting out just a skip every 10 sec or so till it hit full rpms I have done nothing to the motor i know it has had a new cdi box put on it...

    9 1/2 hp Johnson will not run

    9 1/2 hp Johnson will not run The motor will not run i pulled on it for about 2 hours today it will not even try to start it is firing and getting gas to the bottom plug but the top plug is dry. The guy said it ran fine before he shipped it to me! :confused: What should the compresion be?
