    what prop

    boat= 2003 carolina skiff 238 v series, 1250 lbs. probably 1700 with gear engine= 2003 yamaha f115txrb all i see on the prop is stamped 17x it is aluminuim. problem is I can only get 5000 rpms max with it trimmed all the way up on smooth water and speed of 29mph. I am trying to get at least 5600...

    yamaha no power

    I have a 2003 115 4 stroke that ran great. Couple weeks ago it started going up and down 9n the rpm.now it want get above 2500 rpm at best. I have bypassed water seperator and changed the plugs but nothing.if I pull out the warmup lever it will hit 6000 tons.could 5his still be a feul problem...
