Changed out the lower unit lube and noticed that it had a yellow color, and was not completely clear. It was not milky like it had a bunch of water in it. I am going to change it out again before I use it this weekend to see what it looks like. You guys think I have a leak??

    89' Force 125 waterpump ?

I'm changing the water pump, and when I seperated the lower unit from the motor leg the driveshaft came with it. The seal and a metal ring slipped off the powerhead end of the shaft, and I'm not sure how it goes back together. The ring is flat on one side, and has a recess on the other. I'm...

    89' Force overheat issue

I sucked up a bunch of mud, lost circulation, and overheated. I've pulled the pump, and though it looks bad, it should have been pushing some water. What would be a safe way to to try and flush the system out before I put the new pump in??? Thanks a million Greg

    force 125 cooling system problems

I lost water circulation and overheated after sucking up a bunch of mud. I have the water pump out (looks pretty worn, but I would think it should still be pumping some), and I found one piece of rubber (does not look like it came from the impeller) that could have ben at least partially...

    89' force 125 compression/overheat ?

I really got this motor hot (waterpump failed + overheat alarm, motor died I got towed in) and today I checked the compression . From top to bottom I got 125,125,125,120 measured cold. I don't trust the values completely, because I did a check with a different gauge (a press on type rather than...

Well I sucked up a bunch of soft mud, and lost water circulation. Unfortunately the overheat alarm did not sound, and while cruising at about 3000 rpm the motor faltered and died. I looked around and noted smoke coming from under the cowling (1989 Force/US Marine 125)Got a tow in and the mech at...

    force 125 HP trim problem

I'm having a problem with the trim ram leaking down. When the motor is tilted up it holds just fine, no drop over the course of several days. I have replaced the seals in the 2 pilot valves, and this corrected the tilt leakdown, and I also replaced the o-ring in the trim cylinder but it still...
