    86 Evinrude 8 HP WOT problem

    I have a 1986 Evinrude 8 hp that makes a strange spuddering sound at WOT. Back off the throttle a bit and it runs great, open it up and it sounds like crap. Losing a few MPH with this problem and don't want to do any more damage. Any suggestions? Thanks.
