    2002 50 hp 4 stroke surges

    Hi I have a 2002 Johnson 50 hp 4 stroke that the engine rpm surges up and down and the engine starts to shake when the RPMs go over 2500. I have replace the prop with a new one of the same size and pitch but it did not help. Where should I go from here? Thank you.

    Hi I'm looking for a prop for a 2002 4 stroke Johnson motor used on a 20' pontoon boat. Right now the motor max RPM is 5200. I would like a little more power but it's not a requirement.     2002 50 HP Trim will not go down

    I have a 2002 50 hp Johnson and the trim will not lower. When the switches(at the seat and on motor) all I hear is the relay clicking. The trim up works fine. This has happen once before, all I did was clean the battery post connections and that fixed it but it didn't help this time. Any help?
