    1989 Johnson 30hp, Can top crank seal be taken out without splitting cranckcase??

    Seal is leaking, is there a special tool to remove it? Or maybe drill small holes and install small screws and slide hammer it out? Help would be appreciated. thanks

    2009 Mercury Seapro 430cc international (tohatsu) . Rectifier question

    I'm assuming it already has an alternator as it has a bunch of zip tied wiring on the front RH side. Thats how it gets it spark is it not? I need to charge a battery with it. Can I just order a rectifier kit and plug and play? or do i need other things like a voltage regulator? I am also...

    Merc/tohatsu 25hp to 30hp has restrictor plate but is at 25deg timing ???? (PICS)

    Looked online about this conversion, went to check my outboard out and the timing is already set to 25deg!!! WOT. I bought this outboard brand new in 2009 and i have never messed with anything onther then slightly enlarging the highspeed jet. So accord to the pictures i posted this engine...

    25hp merc slowing down and speeding up at full throttle by itself.

    Bought a 2009 merc seapro 25hp last spring and ever since i've owned it when holding it at full throttle after about 20 seconds it slows down to 3/4 throttle and speeds back up in about 5 second intervals all by itself. If i back it off for 10-20 seconds and go back to full throttle it's okay...
