    Winterize outdrive question

    Does water pool in a prealpha 1 outdrive? I winterized the Mercruiser 120 engine when I was working on it and changed the drive lube and lubed the prop shaft but was worried that not sucking antifreeze thru the outdrive will hurt. Should I keep the drive in the down position when storing?

    Wanting to get a new prop for my 16' tri-hull with a 120 Mercruiser. Have a 14.5 x 18 now and with 2 people top end is 3800 rpm and around 28mph.     Compression results

    1979 mercruiser 120, oil clear and clean, runs smooth and strong. Compression 1-135, 2-85, 3-125, 4-135 wet#2 85. Owner before me replaced frozen/broken manifold and I wonder if water got on valve or valve seat or just a burnt valve. Seen many head problems with these engines?
