    77 25 overheating?

    jUst purchased a 77 25 that seems to be overheating. new impellar and plate and have pulled head cover and removed thermo for troubleshooting. seems to run well,start idle and full trottle but a bit noisey. maybe time for bearings or total rebuild but thought I would run it til it dies. problem...

    '71 block with '76 head

    purchased a 71 block thinking it was same as my burnt 76. Only until I tried to mount coils did I notice that there were no mounts on the head. I have a good head from a dif 76 and was identical except for coil mounts . proceeded to assemble and only other dif was the neutral start mount...
