    Does any one know the trick of putting <br />thelower end on after changing the impeller.<br />for some reason I can't get the cooper pipe to allow it to close up.

    performance

    I have a 83 mer.150 had problem with it running top end . Had to replace stator the high speed windings were out .but going through all the trouble shooting to fix it i had to re time it.<br />factory says 11primaryand 16 max. But now all my motor will twist is 5100 rpm. Any guess what it could be.

    Top end problems

    1983 150hp.blackmax when I try to run my boat it acts like it wants to run but when I give it more than half throttle it it starts and stops to run on all 6cyl. Is it the stador high speed windings gone bad????
