i bought a 9.8 merc for twenty bucks at a yard sell took it to the shop the guy first told me the fuel pump was bad no problem. he called a couple days later and said the ried valves were bad not worth fixin but offerd me a hunderd bucks for the engine i declined took it home bypassed the fuel...
