    AQ171C, or VP 251DOHC (but same assembly is found on AQ151 or VP 250 as well). Does anyone have the the torque spec for the large 29 mm nut that holds the oil cooler mounting flange to the engine block? I have the factory manual but have not been able to find that information there...

    Reflection over the connection exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe (AQ171 / AQ151)

    If you look at the attached photos, there is a fair amount of corrosion (pitting) on the exhaust pipe, but not much on the manifold. My take on this is that the exhaust connector (the rubber bellow) was in this case installed a tad too far down on the "pipe", allowing water to pool up inside...

    Dipstick tube - how "deep" into the block? (VP AQ171C or AQ151)

    Engine: VP AQ171C (I-4, DOHC) / 868114, Serial: 2200205833 3888 Outdrive: VP AQ SP-A, Serial: 3102081316 Just curious, how deep into the block is the dipstick tube supposed to "penetrate"? I know it is a tapered fitting, it does not leak, the tube does not come out, nor does it move further...

    Left hand or Right hand rotation - Volvo AQ171C/SP-A (290) drive - General question

    As far as I know Volvo Penta delivered most/all of the Aquamatic single prop drives with a LH rotating propeller. Those drives can VERY easily be switched to support a RH propeller. Any ideas if one or the other is "preferred"? I've always run a RH, but is now to buy a new one. A LH might help...
