    just noticed that the drain hole at the stern of my 14' speedboat, as it goes thru the glass and wood that the bottom 5 millimetres within the hole exposes the wood within the glassfibre. is this normal or should i fix it as i notice that the woody bit is very wet(as it would be).thanks

    I have removed the tube that the engine tilts up on from my 1984 60hp johnson, and to my amazement it appears to be made of normal mild steel tubing as would be found in old gas fittings. Is this correct or should it be stainless steel and someone has bodged it?

    prop size definition

    i have a prop size of 11-3/4 17 on a 60hp johnson.i have a guess at what the numbers mean but could someone clarify for me. also is this a good prop for my engine and what would be best for skiing and what for top end speed.(my boat is a 14"waverider(previously shakespeare design).

    my 1984 60hp johnson is running well(i think) but i have noticed that it has ngk B9HS-10 plugs as opposed to the manuals stated B7HS-10. it is also running a .090 gap(book says .040). should i change these?
