Is the old block off plate with two gaskets a good system for closed cooling? Do I use the Mercury permatex type gasket sealer on those? It costs me $20 a pop plus exhaust gaskets each time for new style and old style is cheaper. I can't even get at the spark plugs without removing the exhaust...

My oil pressure alarm comes on after high speed run and back to idle. Oil pressure gage shows 1/2 way between 0 and 20 psi mark so I assume around 10 psi. Rotella 15W40 about 20 hours ago.
Had to remove motor as I couldn't align engine and new rear mounts are even lower, another story. I hooked...
