hi guys....on my 40 hp johnson i gan get full throttle in nuetral but when in gear it only gets up to about hlf speed with throttle wide open...i just got a carb kit and did all that...went out again and this time i got full throtle for a bit but then the same problem occured...am i missing...
my 40 h.p. johnson, i think it is a '73, will run full throttle when in nuetral, but when in gear under load appears to only throttle up about 1/4 power.even with the throttle wide open i can only putt putt around. help me please.........
just got my first boat and it came with this motor...model #40el730....jumped the starter from my car battery and it works but solenoid is not hooked up....need help rewiring it...thnks
