    Melted rectifier.

    I finally got the old Johnson running and idling to satisfaction. When shut it down after making adjustments I noticed the rectifier was dripping down the engine. What should I be checking besides ground connections? Is this how they normally fail? 89 60hp

    OMC gasket sealant cure?

    I have installed the head and exhaust cover using the omc gasket sealing compound. Is this stuff supposed to stay goopy? It's been days and it is still not solid. Did I get a bad batch?

    Water on sparkplug.

    I found a some water on the spark plug in the top cylinder. I've pulled the head and I don't see water getting through. Where should I look next? I see a small bit of water at the bottom of the cylinder. Thanks. 89 Johnson 60 hp.

    I,m trying to identify what I believe to be an Alpha one sterndrive. It is a 140 hp 3.0 litre. The block is stamped GM 2770087. The # on the rocker arm cover is A314989 and the # on the drive is A326827. I cannot find the #s anywhere???
