    stator and timing mercury 115 1982

    Was wounding when I change my stator will I need to reset my timing on a 1982 inline 6 115 mercury, Or just put it back the same way it came off. Found bad wires on stator and going to replace it in a week or two when part gets here. Thanks for the help. K.C
