    open gauges?

    I bought a 88 renken cuddy classic this weekend! I love it so far. I have been cleaning it all weekend. The only part I dont like right now are the gauges. Just the needle in them. Can i open them up and paint the needle? Or should i just wait and buy all new next season or later in the year...
