    "72" Merc 650 3 cyl. cloged Idle passages

    It runs fine at higher rpms.but man who had it had it setting for a good while. gas in tank was green and bit milkey with a lot of water droplets in bottom of tank.What is the best way to clean passages or carbs. :(

    Shift shaft pulled up when lower unit was dropped

    It pushes back down does not engage anything.<br />Please don't tell me lower unit has to be torn totaly apart. This is a 1972 Merc 650.

    Merc 3cyl. 650 Won't Idle

    I runs good at high speed but stall's at low speed's. With Warm-up lever at full overly fast but when you pull lever to mid point or lower it dies then you must choke it to start it agian. It act as if it is out of gas but bulb is tight. Do you think idle curcuit is clogged or idle mixture needs...

    My serial # is 3456499 Its a three cyl. And I think it is a early 70's model. :cool:
