    1988 cobra 3.0L prop shaft

    To anyone who may know the answer to this. What is the difference between the prop shaft for my drive (1988 cobra 3.0L) and the shaft for 1990. As there is a huge price difference and if possible I would like to use the newer cheaper one. What would I have to do to make the newer one work?

    tach wont go above 1700 omc 3.0L

    when I got the boat the tach hardly worked at all. so I pulled it out and it had a stamp on the back that said v8 only!! I purchased a brand new oem tach that was meant for the omc 3.0. but it will not go above 1700. I tried wiring it with new wired and no difference. does anyone have a suggestion?
