    I've got a 1992 9.9hp and the plug wires are crossed top to bottom. I've got a 1987 15hp and the plug wires are straight across top to top and bottom to bottom. What is correct?

    I have a 1992 9.9hp remote controlled Evinrude. I also have a 1987 15hp tiller Evinrude. Within this year range, can I put the 15hp carb on the 1992? From the research I've done, there seems to be no difference in the actual motor of a 1992 9.9 and a 1992 15hp.
