    Looking for input on a 2001 Evinrude 70hp 4-stroke

    I'm going to purchase a crestliner boat with this motor. According to the owner it has less than 100 hours on the engine. He said that it runs great and we're going for a test ride before money changes hands. He had to replace the reservoir on the trim/tilt and he had to replace the coils...

    2001 Evinrude 70hp 4-stroke or 2007 Mercury 90hp 2-stroke?

    First post here. Looking at both of these engines on comparable Crestliner boats. Both boats emply minus engine weigh approximately 1100lbs. Mostly fishing with some towing of tubers and possibly a smaller skier. I probably will do some lake Michigan trolling and am not sure how the 2-stroke...
