    1951 Elgin 7.5 hp coil location

    I have a Elgin 7.5 hp motor I'm working on and I have replaced the original coils with coils for a envinrude/johnson magneto and I forgot the location for them on the armature plate.The way I have them now are bottom cylinder on top facing the motor and top cylinder on the bottom.Is this correct?

    Fuel pump check valves (how to remove).1963 merc 110.

    How do you remove the check valves on a fuel pump for a 1963 merc 110. 9.8hp?I tried a narrow screwdriver( slotted) and was not able to get a grab on the one that's goes with the out going flow to carb..Any suggestions would be helpful. Scott53.
