    Carb model

    I have a Johnson 25, Model J25REND. It has a line running from the choke to the front of the carb bowl. I have a friend with a newer 25 and his does not have the line, it is plugged with a screw. Is mine factory? Also, any idea of the carb model number so I can order a rebuild kit?

    Is carb "broken"? (I'm a novice)

    I have a Johnson 25 that bogs under load. In cleaning the carb, I see that there is a small tube (jet?) inside a larger tube. The small tube is not in the middle of the larger tube but is pressed up against one side. Is that normal?

    Problem with acceleration - 25hp

    I have a Johnson 25hp, 1992. It idles and revs fine with the muffs. When in the water, it dies when I give it the gas. Seems like it is flooding or starving. Thus far I have: Changed plugs, cleaned carb (it was my first and I "think" I did it well), float is parallel when carb upside down...

    Johnson 25hp, runs fine with muffs, dies in water
