    Whats the difference between Tremclad high gloss<br />black paint and mercury outdrive paint? I want to<br />paint the outdrive to spruce it up as i am putting new decals on it.The boat (20 foot Doral)<br />is used only in fresh water.Is it worth the extra money for (mercury outdrive paint)?

    trim sending units for merc 140

    I need to replace the trim sending units, what is the easiest way to do this. I have a 1986 Doral 140 hp merc crusier i/o. I was told I had to pull the drive off to feed in the wires. Is there an easier way. I do have a shop manual.

    Is it posible to test the ignition coil if the points are burned out? :confused: I instaled new coil and I am not getting any spark, Although I did find I has it instaled negative on positive :o and corrected my error. Could I have burned out the points and fried the new coil?? :eek...

    need help installing exhaust boot on mercruiser 149 i/o. is there a way of installing the boot without taking off the drive? And does the shifter cable run through this boot?
