    Reed valve check?

    Hi!<br />I got a 1979 80hp mercury. Is there any way to check the reed valve without dissassembling the whole powerhead?<br /><br />Just bought the engine and going over it during winter but dont want to do more than I need.     Shorten shift/trottle cable
