    454 mag mpi running rich and using a lot of fuel

    I've pulled my plugs (autolite 25) and they are all black. Timing is @ 8 degrees, standing behind the boat smells like raw fuel, it uses a gallon of gas within 20 minutes or less just at idle. What can cause this. Fuel pressure is at like 30 psi and no fuel leaking anywhere.

    454 mag....dlc connector with jumper...is this supposed to be there?

    Looking at this connector I'm curious why there is a jumper built into the connector. I feel like its supposed to be there but I know base timing mode uses a jumper and my idle is about 1600 rpm. Cant find it in the manual unless your trying to put the engine in base timing mode.
